Nevada's second-largest city, built around the car
Henderson is a separate city from Las Vegas and the second-largest in Nevada. It is mostly residential, laid out in master-planned neighborhoods, and almost everything requires a drive. That is why so many of our Henderson requests are home handoffs rather than hotel ones.
Family visits
When relatives fly in to stay at a house in Green Valley or Anthem, the host family often books the car. It can be handed over at the home, so visitors are not stuck waiting for rides. A midsize sedan is usually enough for a couple; larger families look at minivans for the whole household.
Resort and lake stays
Lake Las Vegas, on Henderson's east side, has resort hotels and vacation homes a long way from the Strip. Guests staying there almost always need a car.
Many Henderson neighborhoods are gated or run by homeowners associations. Include gate instructions in your request, or pick a meeting point at the community entrance.

Local landmarks that shape a handoff
Green Valley and the District
Green Valley is one of Henderson's established neighborhoods, and the District at Green Valley Ranch is a popular open-air shopping and dining street. It is a convenient, easy-to-find meeting spot for visitors staying nearby.
Water Street and downtown Henderson
Henderson's historic Water Street District has been revitalized with restaurants and events, and it sits close to US-95 for drives toward Las Vegas.
Henderson Executive Airport
Some travelers arrive by private aircraft at Henderson Executive Airport on the southwest side of the city. If that is your arrival point, mention it in your request and the team will tell you what is possible there.

The drive to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead
Henderson is the gateway to Boulder City, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. The I-11 bypass carries you past Boulder City toward the dam, typically about half an hour from much of Henderson. It is one of the most popular day trips, and our road-trip answers include tips for desert driving. Nearby, the airport is reached via the 215 beltway, Enterprise borders Henderson to the west, the Strip is about twenty minutes away, and downtown is a straight shot up US-95.
