Downtown is its own city
Unlike the Strip, Downtown Las Vegas lies inside the City of Las Vegas. It is the older heart of town: the Fremont Street Experience under its LED canopy, the Fremont East bars and restaurants, and the classic casinos that predate the Strip's megaresorts.
Walkable core, spread-out surroundings
Inside the few blocks around Fremont Street, you can walk everywhere. The moment you want the Arts District's galleries on a First Friday, the Smith Center, or a meal across town, a car becomes useful. And downtown hotels are a good base for drives west to Red Rock or north to Mount Charleston.
Handoffs at downtown hotels
Downtown casino hotels are generally easier for handoffs than the big Strip resorts, with simpler driveways and garages close to the casino floor. The team agrees a meeting point with you when your booking is confirmed. Parking policies vary by property, so check with your hotel. Plenty of visitors split a stay, a few nights on Fremont Street and a few on the Strip. One rental can follow you between hotels, so mention both in your request.

Weddings, chapels and group trips
Downtown and the nearby stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard are home to many of the city's wedding chapels. Wedding parties often need to move between a hotel, the chapel, a photo stop and dinner.
Keep the wedding party together
A single van beats a string of rideshares when you are in formal wear and on a schedule. Our group van rentals are booked for exactly this.
Arriving in style
Some couples simply want a good-looking car for the day. The Lexus NX in orange or silver photographs well outside a chapel.

Getting to and from downtown
Downtown sits where the I-15 meets US-95, the interchange locals call the Spaghetti Bowl. From the airport, it is usually around twenty minutes outside rush hour. Neighboring areas include the resort corridor a few exits south, Summerlin out west along Charleston Boulevard, Spring Valley to the southwest, and Henderson, a straight run down US-95.

Renting a car in Downtown: questions
Is it easy to drive and park downtown?
Generally easier than the Strip. Garages sit close to the casinos, though parking rules vary by hotel.
Can a van meet our wedding party at a downtown hotel?
Yes. Give the hotel, the times and the group size, and the team plans the handoff and confirms the van's seating.
Is downtown a good base for Red Rock or Mount Charleston?
Yes. Charleston Boulevard runs west toward Red Rock, and US-95 north leads to the Mount Charleston turnoff. Both make easy half-day trips from a Fremont Street hotel.
